Taking Off

The drive to the airport was a little slow due to the roadworks, but we still made it in plenty of time. There was the usual wandering around the duty free but I didn’t buy anything – am interested in a new camera perhaps. At the lounge we could see the cool new plane which is to take us to Singapore, the A-380! We all boarded the plane (very lush inside and I really liked the hostesses dresses), set for take off when we got news that we’d be delayed and wouldn’t be taking off till 12:40pm (instead of 10:55am). The pilot said he would try and negotiate a better time slot. Then we got news that take off would be 01:35pm! Rubbish negotiation!! A small moment of panic, but we eventually got underway around 12:35pm.
